After earning a B.Sc. in Horticulture from Oregon State University and completing a Master Gardener certification through the OSU Extension Service, she spent six years as a contributing writer for regional home and lifestyle magazines before launching Hearth & Hedge in 2021. Her practical, research-driven approach is shaped by hands-on years renovating a 1920s craftsman bungalow in Portland and tending a half-acre kitchen garden through the unpredictable Pacific Northwest seasons.
